Course OverviewOne of the most common obstacles people face in their careers is a bad relationship with their boss. Difficult relationships with supervisors lead to missed advancement opportunities, forced resignations and damaged professional reputation. Managing up simply means focusing on the relationship you have with your boss in order to obtain the best results for you and your boss, as well as your organisation. Actively managing your relationship maximises both your ability and your boss's ability to contribute to the organisation, and it helps you overcome the inevitable conflicts that will occur occasionally. This one day program aims to develop staff skills especially where staff may not have formal authority but are often responsible for results. These skills are directly applicable to working with more senior staff including direct managers.
